Inspired by a line from A. A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh — during the great flood, a Very Small Animal entirely surrounded by water discovers the truth of it: "it wasn't much good having anything exciting like floods, if you couldn't share them with somebody." The design features a small boy and his bear pressed close beneath one big umbrella on a little island of grass, watching the rain ring silver circles on the floodwater while a paper boat sails past. Two friends, one umbrella, and the flood suddenly worth having.

In the book, the answer to that lonely wish arrives by sea: Christopher Robin and Pooh sail to the rescue in an upside-down umbrella, solemnly christened The Brain of Pooh.
